Outside Sales Representative

Job Description:

 

The Outside Sales Executive will focus on demand creation and new business development in the Industrial Wire & Cable markets in Peru.  These markets include Oil, Gas and Petrochemical, Natural Resource Development (Mining and Pulp/Paper), Power Generation - Generation/Distribution, Water & Waste Treatment, Shipboard & Port Solutions, Industrial/Manufacturing Automation, Public Networks (OSP, Central Office, Head-End), Electrical Solutions in the Data Center, Broadcast & Entertainment and OEM.

 

Duties:

·         Focus on positioning  Anixter’s Supply Chain Services as the primary value add to the delivery of electrical and electronic wire and cable, physical security, telecom and OEM solutions to target industrial customers.

 

·         Service our industrial customers directly, delivering world class pre-sales consulting, product specification and supply chain support, with the ultimate objective of selling projects through our channel partners such as EPCs, electrical contractors, security integrators and automation integrators. 

 

·         Find new business opportunities and create demand for Anixter and our key vendor partners within his/her focused vertical markets.

 

·         Focus on capturing project business as well as maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) opportunities.

 

·         This position will require frequent travel within the defined Latin American territory as well as occasional trips to the US and Europe.

 

Job Requirements:

 

·         At least three (3) years of outside sales experience ideally in the industrial or wire & cable markets.

·         Strong command of both written and spoken English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.

·         An undergraduate degree from an accredited four (4) year university.

·         Experience selling directly to and through the EPC community a plus.

·         Experience selling services and service contracts a plus.

·         Highly organized, results oriented, self-starter with strong presentation, negotiation and relationship development skills.

 

 

Compensation:

·         Competitive annual base salary commensurate with experience.

·         Competitive annual bonus/commission plan.
